Bloom Clerkenwell completes targeting BREEAM outstanding

10th January 2022

We are proud to have completed the detailed design on this important building, which is constructed above Crossrail’s new Farringdon station and adjacent to London's Cycle Superhighway

We were responsible for the detailed design of the base build and the communal spaces, including the reception, lift lobbies, gym and washrooms. Designed around wellbeing, sustainability and digital connectivity, there is also a provision for 243 cycles, conveniently accessed directly from the Cycle Superhighway (along Farringdon Road). The building also has a 110 m² on-site multi-purpose fitness studio and shower & changing spaces.

The building was designed to integrate with the districts historic character and has a palette of materials reflecting the area, including faience, terracotta and anodised aluminium. These materials create a clear, contemporary identity whilst blending into the mix of Victorian warehouse style buildings along Farringdon Road.
