B5 Southside

Weedons were appointed to work alongside the concept architects , prior to novation, to complete this mixed use D & B project comprising 461 studio, one and two bed apartments, 1860m² of A3/retail use and basement car parking. Success of the scheme has been achieved by high quality detailing to ensure a vibrant and exciting addition to the urban grain.

The project is located on a brownfield site in the heart of Birmingham’s Chinatown immediately adjacent to the world heritage ‘Back to Back’ museum site belonging to the National Trust. It is phase 1 of a development which includes the I-Land scheme opposite consisting of 271 apartments above 280m² of A3 retail space with basement car parking, also completed by the same team.
