Birmingham Schools CWM Framework

Birmingham

Weedon Architects have been involved with a number of Special Educational Needs Schools, working within the CWM framework.

Hamilton Primary Special School, Handsworth, Birmingham :- The works comprised the erection of a two storey school extension to the existing Victorian School building, providing four new classrooms, a new sensory room, and staff facilities plus the creation of a new outdoor play area etc. to create  a 121 pupil SEN environment for pupils aged 4-11

Bridge Special School, Sutton Coldfield  :- This Special Educational needs school caters for 85 pupils aged 2  to 11. The refurbishment and extension of the existing school infilled an existing courtyard to extend the existing hall and create a larger dining area. The existing dormitory accommodation was converted into new classrooms and sensory rooms. The insertion of a mezzanine floor and other internal modifications created new staff office space.
