This existing Victorian Dining block in the heart of the Bournville Trust Conservation Area has been a transformational development.
Phase 1 created state of the art office facilities for 700 and Phase 2 saw the completion of the internal fit out including interior design branding artwork.
The final solution provides an interior that can be adjusted to different work patterns with flexible meeting spaces that are capable of being combined to provide a 100 seat seminar room.
A dramatic atrium draws daylight deep into the heart of the building and capitalizes on the existing generous floor to ceiling heights. The base of this three storey atrium houses a new entrance, reception and a generous 500 cover ‘Cadbury Café’ incorporating a glass block floor allowing daylight into the lower ground conference areas.
A new structure inserted into the hub of the building resolves all level changes between new and old, using glass lifts within the atrium to connect the spaces.
