Zellig - Devonshire House

The ‘Custard Factory’ is a local arts and media complex in Digbeth, Birmingham. Zellig is the latest innovative award winning phase.

It is the result of a rationale that has at its core, excitement, congenial enterprise and design excellence, along with a desire to rejuvenate a much loved but neglected Grade II listed building, Devonshire House, on a major arterial route into the city centre. 

The ground floors combine galleries and restaurants while the upper floors provide business Studio space. Communal atria provide an opportunity to merge architecture with art, and have been designed as a series of striking "events" that locate people passing through the spaces within the building.
