Partner, Melanie Whild featured in Architecture Today

10th May 2022

It's great to see Melanie Whild featured in the Architecture Today portrait series, and read about her reflections on Weedon's 100-year-old history and the way projects have evolved.

The practice is over 100 years old and the portrait is taken in the boardroom against the backdrop of old, hard-backed construction textbooks in their library. Melanie is surrounded by black and white framed photographs of buildings in the city she knows so well, the work of legends of architects who have been part of Weedon's history.

She also discusses her delight at just how many of Weedon's buildings not only still exist but have new lives which have often been born through the talents and inspiration of other architectural practices. The practice has also been fortunate to collaborate on many regeneration projects with numerous architects.
